NEW YORK - Two actions brought against Pfizer Inc. by out-of-state residents who claim they lost their vision after taking Viagra for erectile dysfunction have been dismissed by a New York state justice for forum non conveniens. Keller v. Pfizer Inc., No. 105650/07; Bluie v. Pfizer Inc., No. 105651/07 (N.Y. Sup., N.Y. Cty.).
In granting Pfizer's motion to dismiss on Jan. 31, Justice Doris Ling-Cohen of the New York County Supreme Court ruled that the lawsuits should be tried in the plaintiffs' home states of California and Arizona, where the drug was prescribed and ingested and the treating physicians are …
