Missouri Rezulin Trial Cut Short by Settlement

LIBERTY, Mo. - Pfizer Inc. settled its second Rezulin personal injury lawsuit in less than a week just as the case was going to trial in Missouri. Griggs v. Pfizer, Inc., No. n/a (Mo. Cir. Ct., Clay Cty.).

The Dec. 27 announcement came on the heels of a settlement that followed a $43 million compensatory damage award in a Rezulin injury case in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Dec. 21. That settlement, which vacated the compensatory award, was reached as jurors were deliberating punitive damages.
