CAMDEN, N.J. - A woman who claimed that she was injured after ingesting a generic version of Relafen can proceed with her complaint against Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. based on the company's ties to the subsidiary that manufactured the drug, a judge has ruled. Ripley v. Eon Labs Inc., et al., No. 07-912 (D. N.J.).
Denying Novartis' motion to dismiss the case for failure to state a claim against the drug maker, Judge Joseph H. Rodriguez ruled Aug. 16 that plaintiff Cheryl Ripley's complaint contains allegations sufficient to put Novartis on notice of claims against it and sets forth a basis …
