Durom Cup Plaintiffs Get Service Delay as They Try to Settle Implant Claims

NEWARK, N.J. — The judge in the coordinated Durom Cup hip implant proceedings has granted an Idaho couple’s request for an extension of time to serve the Zimmer defendants as they pursue informal settlement talks. Davis v. Zimmer, No. 2:11-cv-07189 [In re: Zimmer Durom Hip Cup Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2158] (D. N.J.).

Judge Madeline Cox Arleo signed the order May 18, giving Douglas A. and Noreen Davis until Sept. 1 to serve Zimmer Inc. and “to explore the possibility of settling this dispute informally.”
