NEW YORK - A state court judge has dismissed the claims of five plaintiffs who filed lawsuits in New York after developing degenerative eye disease allegedly caused by Viagra they ingested in other states. Jordan, et al. v. Pfizer Inc., No. 102561-2007 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., New York Cty.).
Judge Carol Robinson Edmead of the New York County Supreme Court issued the ruling July 17, determining that the plaintiffs cannot rely on Viagra manufacturer Pfizer Inc.'s New York-based business operations as support for their argument that the cases are properly venued.
