Wyeth Says N.J. Prempro Case Has Been 'Resolved'

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Prempro manufacturer Wyeth Inc. and a plaintiff who claimed she developed breast cancer as a result of taking the hormone replacement therapy drug have reached a settlement in a case that was set to be tried on July 16. Deutsch v. Wyeth Inc., No. MID-L-998-06 MT (N.J. Super. Ct., Middlesex Cty.).
According to a spokesman for the drug maker, the allegations brought against Wyeth by Ellen and David Deutsch were resolved "to the mutual satisfaction of both parties" just prior to jury selection in the Middlesex County Superior Court.
