CAMDEN, N.J. - A Texas woman has sued the manufacturers of a prescription drug used to treat nail fungus, claiming that it caused her to develop potentially life-threatening skin conditions, including Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. Yocham v. Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp., No. L-1897-07 (N.J. Super. Ct., Camden Cty.).
The lawsuit, filed April 5 in New Jersey Superior Court, blames drug maker Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. for concealing skin-related hazards associated with the use of its drug Lamisil from physicians and the public.
