TAMPA, Fla. - Accutane manufacturer Hoffman-La Roche has moved for summary judgment in cases brought by plaintiffs who claim they developed inflammatory bowel disease as a result of taking the acne drug. In Re: Accutane Products Liability Litigation, No. 04md2523 (M.D. Fla.).
In separate motions filed April 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Hoffman-La Roche contends that plaintiffs have failed to provide any admissible evidence supporting a causative link between Accutane and IBD.
