PHILADELPHIA - A drug manufacturer named in several Paxil suicide cases pending in a Pennsylvania federal court has accused plaintiffs of creating a de facto MDL and wants the cases transferred to the states where the plaintiffs' alleged injuries occurred. Blain v. SmithKlineBeecham, et al., No. 06-1247 (E.D. Pa.).
GlaxoSmithKline filed a brief March 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, further supporting its argument to have the cases transferred to the plaintiffs' home states.
