LOS ANGELES - An appeals court in California has upheld defense verdicts in two PPA cases after plaintiffs argued that the trial judge gave inadequate instructions to jurors and refused to allow into evidence pertinent testimony related to the FDA's decision to recommend removal of the pharmaceutical ingredient from the market. O'Neill, et al. v. Novartis Consumer Health Inc., No. B174512 (Calif. Ct. App., 2nd Dist.).
