Recent Lawsuits Link Trasylol to Heart Patients' Renal Failures

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - In separate complaints filed in recent weeks against drug manufacturer Bayer, two people who were administered Trasylol prior to undergoing heart surgery allege they developed life-threatening kidney failure caused by the drug. Davis v. Bayer Corp., et al., No. 07-115 (M.D. Tenn.); Bakan v. Bayer Corp., No. 07-220 (M.D. Fla.).
The suits were filed in federal courts in Tennessee and Florida and accuse Bayer of waiting too long to warn patients and their physicians of the increased risk of renal dysfunction and renal failure associated with Trasylol.
