Court Reinstates, Remands Part of Menopause Drug Lawsuit

MINNEAPOLIS - A state appeals court has reinstated some of the claims asserted by a woman who claimed she was injured by a menopause drug that the manufacturer allegedly misrepresented as being approved by the FDA. Yarrington v. Solvay Pharmaceuticals Inc., et al., No. A05-2288 (Minn. Ct. App.).
In a decision issued Sept. 26, the Minnesota Court of Appeals reversed in part a lower court ruling dismissing Judith Yarrington's claims against Solvay Pharmaceuticals Inc. for non-life-threatening injuries Yarrington allegedly suffered after taking Solvay's Estratest.
