U.S. Marshals to Seize $55K Worth of Dietary Supplements

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The FDA has requested that U.S. Marshals seize $55,000 worth of dietary supplements manufactured by Advantage Nutraceuticals for violating the federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
The FDA said on Sept. 6 that Advantage Nutracueticals' Ellagimax, Coral Max, Coral Max without Iron and Advanced Arthritis Support capsules violate the new drug and misbranding provisions of the FDCA because, although they are labeled as dietary supplements, they are being promoted with claims typically associated with drug products.
