NEW YORK - Two plaintiffs from New York and Georgia have filed separate lawsuits against Pfizer, claiming its Lipitor cholesterol drug caused them memory loss and other injuries. Mazzariello v. Pfizer Inc. No. n/a; Wilson v. Pfizer Inc. No. n/a (N.Y. Sup. Ct., New York Cty.).
On June 7 in the Supreme Court of New York, Michael Mazzariello, a New York resident, and Charles M. Wilson of Georgia, filed claims asserting that Lipitor (atorvastatin calcium) is "defectively designed, inadequately tested, is dangerous to humans, and lacks proper warnings...."
