WASHINGTON, D.C. — Biomet Inc. and its co-defendants in the M2a Magnum hip implant lawsuits have filed their opposition to centralization of cases in an MDL, but say if the Judicial Panel does consolidate the cases, it would recommend New York or New Jersey courts over California. Biomet submitted its opposition to a motion to coordinate or consolidate lawsuits alleging defects in the company’s M2a Magnum implant July 19, seeking to distinguish M2a cases from implant litigation that is already consolidated.
