CHICAGO — Counsel for plaintiffs and defendants in the Zimmer NexGen knee implant litigation have offered supplemental arguments for and against limiting the scope of the MDL, including a suggestion from plaintiffs that the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois open multiple discovery tracks. In re: Zimmer NexGen Knee Implant Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2272 (N.D. Ill.).

District Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer has yet to rule on Zimmer defendants’ Motion for Suggestion of Remand in cases the defendants say are outside the scope of the MDL.
