PPA Plaintiff Agrees to $132,500 Settlement with GlaxoSmithKline and Perrigo Co.

SEATTLE - A family involved in the PPA Products Liability Litigation agreed to settlement offers totaling $132,500 from GlaxoSmithKline and Perrigo Co. on Aug. 10. In re Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket No. 1407. No. 03-cv-02053, (W.D. Wash.).
Plaintiff Harvey Bellamy and his two children, Kuturah and Dana, claimed that the April 24, 2000, hemorrhagic stroke which killed 41-year-old Marilyn Bellamy, Harvey's wife, was a result of the PPA-containing Dayhist-D and BC Allergy and Sinus Cold Powder she consumed on April 23, 2000.
