Ga. Widow Sues Pfizer for Husband's Alleged Zoloft-Induced Suicide




ATLANTA - A Georgia woman sued Pfizer on June 2, claiming her husband shot himself in the head as a result of ingesting Zoloft. Diamond v. Pfizer Inc. No. 1:05-cv-1444. (N.D. Ga.).

Plaintiff Jean A. Diamond claims her husband, Gerald, killed himself in June 2003 after suffering from 'severe side effects' from the antidepressant Zoloft (sertaline), after only three days usage.

Diamond contends Pfizer has long known about Zoloft's dangerous side effects, but has only recently began warning physicians and consumers.
