**photo-1**About the Author Roger S. Blumenthal, MD, FACC, FCCP, FAHA is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. Dr. Blumenthal graduated Cum Laude from the Landon School in Bethesda and with honors from The Johns Hopkins University. He received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, where he was awarded the Weiss Prize for Excellence in Clinical Medicine.
