LOS ANGELES - The parents of 7-year-old Sabrina Johnson filed a lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson and its McNeil-PPC subsidiary on Dec. 28, alleging that Sabrina's blindness was caused by her ingestion of J&J's Motrin pain reliever. Johnson v. Johnson & Johnson, No. TC018540 (Calif. Super., Los Angeles Cty.).
The lawsuit by Kenneth and Joan B. Johnson names Johnson & Johnson, McNeil Consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals; McKesson Corp.; Sav-On Drug Stores Inc.; Cardinal Health Inc.; Ralphs Grocery Co.; and Does 1 through 100.
The Johnsons say that Sabrina came home from school on Sept. 8, 2003, complaining of a fever. …
