SHAWNEE, Okla. - An Oklahoma man has filed a lawsuit against Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals and its local sales representative, alleging they recklessly marketed the cholesterol-lowering drug Crestor without adequate tests or warnings. Nerad v. Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, et al., No. CJ-2004-645 (Okla. Dist., Ct., Canadian Cty.).
Ron Nerad alleges in a seven-page complaint filed Nov. 15 in Oklahoma District Court that adequate testing of Crestor 'would have shown that CRESTOR possessed serious potential side effects with respect to which full and proper warnings accurately and fully reflecting symptoms, scope and severity should have been made.'
