SAN FRANCISCO-The manufacturers of the diabetes drug Rezulin responded to the claims of a products liability suit filed on behalf of a woman whose death while participating in the Diabetes Prevention Program study was allegedly caused by the drug. Jackson v. Warner-Lambert, et al., No. 02-4078 (N.D. Calif.).
Warner-Lambert's Aug. 28 Answer to the Complaint for Damages contained the manufacturer's affirmative defenses against the allegations of plaintiff Mary Jackson's complaint, which asserts claims of strict liability, negligence and breach of express and implied warranties.
