BIG STONE GAP, Va. - A federal judge granted summary judgment in favor of Purdue Pharma on Aug. 19 after concluding that a Virginia man had not shown evidence of injury from OxyContin. Ewing v. Purdue Pharma, L.P., et al., No. 2:02CV00150 (W.D. Va.).
Judge James P. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia issued the unpublished opinion in the case brought by Charles G. Ewing.
