JASPER, Ala. -- An Alabama man has filed a lawsuit against those companies involved with the manufacture and distribution of the Duragesic patch, alleging a defect in the patch has caused him permanent physical and emotional injuries. Carroll v. Ridgeview Health Care Center, et al., No. cv-04-433 (Ala. Cir. Ct., Walker Cty.).
In a complaint filed July 7, Michael Carroll claims that Johnson & Johnson recalled the allegedly defective product and, thus, should have known of its potential harm.
