CINCINNATI - A recently filed state-court lawsuit by 10 Ohio women blames hormone replacement products made by numerous pharmaceutical companies for causing their breast cancers. Benton, et al. v. Wyeth, et al., No. A0404064 (Ohio Comm. Pls., Hamilton Cty.).
Defendants named in the May 20 complaint include Wyeth and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc.; Pfizer Inc.; Pharmacia Inc.; Upjohn Corp.; Greenstone Ltd.; Barr Pharmaceuticals; Duramed Pharmaceuticals; and Solvay Pharmaceuticals. Pharmacia, Greenstone and Upjohn are subsidiaries of Pfizer. Solvay, a Georgia company, was formerly known as Reid Rowell Inc.
