Zocor User Files Nationwide Class Action in Missouri Federal Court

ST. LOUIS -- A class action filed recently in federal court alleges that defendant Merck negligently designed, formulated, manufactured, promoted and marketed the sale of the cholesterol-lowering drug Zocor. Foster v. Merck, No. 4:04-CV-00879-TCM (E.D. Mo.).
The lawsuit was filed July 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri on behalf of all a nationwide class of persons who purchased or used Zocor, which plaintiff Tommy Foster alleges can cause serious heart damage.
