SEATTLE - A federal has judge awarded summary judgment to two manufacturers of Prozac in a case filed by a woman who claimed her husband's ingestion of the antidepressant caused him to commit suicide. Laisure-Radke v. Barr Laboratories et al. No. C03-3654 (W.D. Wash.).
U.S. District Judge Marsha J. Pechman signed the two one-page orders June 10. Judge Pechman said she granted summary judgment based on plaintiff Yvonne A'Rae Laisure-Radke's motion to amend her complaint and withdraw claims against Barr Laboratories and Eli Lilly & Co.
