ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Remicade manufacturer Centocor Inc. reached a settlement agreement May 24 with a Missouri woman who claims her use of the biologic treatment for rheumatoid arthritis caused her to develop tuberculosis. Rolwes v. Centocor Inc. et al. No. 03-CV-00151 (E.D. Mo.).

Janet Rolwes claimed in her January 2003 lawsuit that Remicade is defective and unreasonably dangerous and that the companies failed to adequately warn consumers that the biologic was associated with an increased risk of developing tuberculosis.
