161 PPA Cases Dismissed with Prejudice for Failure to Comply with CMO

SEATTLE - A federal judge dismissed with prejudice 127 PPA-related injury claims on May 7, ruling that the plaintiffs failed to file timely individual complaints pursuant to Case Management Order (CMO) 15. In re: Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) Products Liability Litigation, MDL 1407 (W.D. Wash.).

Judge Barbara Rothstein of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington also dismissed with prejudice the 34 multiple plaintiff complaints in which the plaintiffs were originally joined pursuant to CMO 15A.
