Aredia/Zometa MDL Judge Orders Remands, Participation in ADR Program

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The judge presiding over the Aredia and Zometa Products Liability MDL has issued an order indicating that the approximately 400 cases remaining on the docket should be remanded and that the parties should enter into alternative dispute resolution to resolve the claims. In Re: Aredia and Zometa Products Liability Litigation, No. 06-1670 (M.D. Tenn.).

In an Aug. 1 order, Judge Todd J. Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee granted a plaintiffs’ motion to dispense with further adjudication of certain pre-trial motions and ordered that the cases be remanded in four phases …
