JPML Creates Viagra MDL, Transfers 7 Cases to District of Minn.

MINNEAPOLIS - The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation chose the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota as the most appropriate venue for the Viagra MDL and has transferred seven pending lawsuits. In re Viagra Products Liability Litigation. MDL No. 1724 (D. Minn.).

District of Minnesota Judge Paul A. Magnuson will oversee the MDL proceedings.

The JPML issued the transfer order on Jan. 26, saying parties had requested the Southern District of Florida, Southern District of Texas, Eastern or Western Districts of Louisiana, District of Minnesota, Southern District of New York and District of Puerto Rico as venues for …
