New Jersey Remicade Cases Coordinated to Address Forum Issue




NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Fifteen Remicade injury cases have been coordinated for pretrial proceedings in the Middlesex County Superior Court in order to address forum issues.

The cases, which are being presided over by Middlesex County Superior Court Judge Mark B. Epstein, involve out-of-state plaintiffs who allegedly developed tuberculosis or other serious infections such as sepsis after using the treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn's disease.

The order to have the cases coordinated before one judge was entered in December, and the cases have been divided into two groups since some cases involve non-diverse plaintiffs.
