KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A couple recently filed suit against Metabolife International, Inc., and Colorado-based Chemins Company, seeking to recover damages for cardiac injuries the husband sustained allegedly as a result of using Metabolife 356, a dietary supplement containing ephedra and caffeine. Gerald Portillo and Josephine Portillo v. Metabolife International, Inc., et al. No 04-2032-KHV (D. Kan.).
