SALT LAKE CITY -- A Utah woman who opted out of the American Home Products (AHP) Settlement Trust for Fen-phen related injuries, recently filed a new lawsuit against Wyeth claiming that her ingestion of the Pondomin (fenfluramine) and Redux (dexfenfluramine) caused her to suffer moderate aortic valve regurgitation. Sara Morgan v. Wyeth, et al., No. 04-CV-00066 (D. Utah).
The complaint, which was filed Jan. 26 in Utah federal court, states that the diet drugs were unreasonably dangerous, and that Wyeth and its subsidiaries failed to adequately warn consumers of the dangers of the drugs. Plaintiff Sara Morgan also claims the …
