Woman Claims Lupron Injection Caused Vision Loss

HARTFORD, Conn. - A woman who allegedly suffered loss of vision in both eyes after receiving an injection of Lupron is suing manufacturer Tap Pharmaceutical, Inc., claiming that it failed to warn consumers of the drug's potential side effects. Connie Desouza v. Tap Pharmaceuticals, Inc., No. 03-CV-00247 (D. Conn.).
The plaintiff's complaint also states that Lupron, which is prescribed for the treatment of endometriosis, prostate cancer, fibroids and central precocious puberty, is a defective and unreasonably dangerous product.
