Miss. Jury Sides With Bayer in Baycol-Related Injury Case

JACKSON, Miss. - For the second time in Mississippi, a state jury has sided with Bayer in a case involving a person who sustained injuries allegedly caused by the cholesterol-lowering drug Baycol. Billy G. Slaughter v. Bayer Corp., No. 2002-41-CV8 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Jones Cty.).
The Dec. 9 verdict in Mississippi's Holmes County Circuit Court gave the company its third victory nationwide in Baycol-related injury cases that have gone before a jury.
