Sixteen Dismissals Clear Dockets of OxyContin-Related Injury Cases in Seven States

STAMFORD, Conn. -The dismissal of 16 cases alleging injuries stemming from the use of OxyContin has cleared dockets in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Maine, North Carolina, Utah, and Vermont of related suits pending against Purdue Pharma, the manufacturer announced. David Bailey, et al., v. Purdue Pharma, L.P., et al., No. 03-CV-874 (D. Arz.).
The Dec. 1 press release stated that 65 OxyContin-related injury suits brought against the manufacturer have been dismissed, and that the company has not paid anything to the plaintiffs.
