TRENTON, N.J. - The New Jersey-based company that once manufactured Xenadrine RFA-1, a dietary supplement containing ephedra and caffeine, filed a petition for Chapter 11 protection under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. In re: Nutraquest, No. 03-44147-RTL (D. N.J. Bankr.).
Nutraquest, Inc., formerly known as Cytodyne Technologies, filed the petition Oct. 16. The document stated that the company's estimated assets were between $10 million and $50 million, and that the supplement maker's potential liabilities ranged between $50 million and $100 million.
