Bimal H. Ashar, M.D., is a physician and an assistant professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Ashar is the lead author of a study that examined the internet marketing tactics of manufacturers of products containing ephedra. The study entitled " A Critical Evaluation of Internet Marketing of Products That Contain Ephedra" appeared in the August 2003 issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
