The Project on Scientific Knowledge and Public Policy is an initiative engaging eminent scholars and scientists to examine scientific evidence and its application in the legal and regulatory arenas. The project encourages the understanding and use of the best available scientific evidence in policy decision-making. The planning committee and staff for SKAPP include academics and researchers with backgrounds in philosophy, biochemistry, medicine, epidemiology, economics and occupations and environmental health, several of whom have previously served at high levels in government.
