California Assembly Passes Bill Banning Statewide Sales of Ephedra

photo-1SACRAMENTO - Proponents of legislation that would ban sales of ephedra-containing products throughout California are just one step away from obtaining realizing their goal as Senate Bill 582 has reached its last stop: the desk of embattled Governor Gray Davis.
The bill, authored by state Senator Jackie Speier (D-Durlingham), was approved in a 44-23 vote by the California State Assembly Sept .15 and narrowly passed through the state's Senate earlier this year in a 24-14 vote.
