CHICAGO - A woman who allegedly suffered a bleeding ulcer as a result of using Celebrex claims in her motion to remand that the amount in damages she is seeking will not exceed the jurisdictional limit of $75,000. Jeanette Hady v. Pharmacia Corp., No. 03-CV-3268 (N.D. Ill., Eastern Div.).

According to plaintiff Jeanette Hady's Aug. 19 motion, the case should be remanded to Illinois' Circuit Court of Cook County because her out-of-pocket medical expenses were less than $10,000.
