ORLANDO, Fla. - A proposed nationwide class action suit was recently filed against Astrazeneca Pharmaceuticals on behalf of all U.S. consumers who purchased or ingested the atypical antipsychotic Seroquel. Susan Zehel-Miller, et al., v. Astrazeneca P.L.C., et al., No. N/A (M.D. Fla., Orlando Div.).
The complaint, which was filed Aug. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, states that the manufacturer of the drug failed to adequately warn consumers of the increased risk of diabetes associated with the use of the drug.
