STAMFORD, Conn. - Six more cases involving individuals who allegedly sustained injuries as a result of addiction to or withdrawal symptoms after using Oxycontin have been dismissed bringing the total number of dismissed from state and federal courts nationwide to 42, Purdue Pharma recently announced.
The manufacturer's Aug. 20 press release stated that three of the cases were dismissed from federal courts in South Carolina while the remaining cases were rejected in federal courts in Florida and West Virginia, and a state court in Alabama.
