Fla. Federal Judge Allows Certain Case-Specific Expert Testimony in Upcoming M2a Hip Trial

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Florida federal judge has addressed Biomet Inc.’s motion to exclude case-specific biomechanical, common issue and causation testimony of two plaintiff’s experts in an M2a Magnum Hip System case set for trial.

In a 35-page opinion issued Nov. 18, Judge John E. Steele of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida held that plaintiffs’ experts Mari Truman and George Kantor may offer several opinions set forth in their case-specific reports.
