Summary: Report of a 64-year-old man who developed right hemiparesis after taking one 4mg dose of doxazosin (Cardura) for prostatic symptoms. The patient recovered most neurological function within a few days of suffering the stroke. Blood pressure monitoring on a reduced doxazosin dosage revealed what the researchers called a striking sleep blood pressure reduction.
