ARTICLE: Antidepressant Medications and Their Association with Invasive Breast Cancer and Carcinoma in situ of the Breast
SUMMARY: Some studies conducted on animals have found that antidepressants may promote the growth of mammary tumors. However, since no epidemiological evidence has shown a consistent association between the use of these drugs and breast cancer, the authors analyzed data from a case-control study conducted in North Carolina from 1996 to 2000 to investigate a possible association between the use of antidepressants and breast cancer.
