Nations Law Firm Fires Back Against Cook Medical in IVC Filter MDL

INDIANAPOLIS — The Nations Law Firm has refuted Cook Medical Inc.’s accusation that it has been continually filing no-injury/product-in-place cases in an attempt to receive some payment in settlement, saying the manufacturer’s position is grounded in “conspiracy theories and alternate reality allegations.”

In a July 20 reply filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the law firm contends that Cook’s opposition to its motion to dismiss a bellwether case with prejudice “is laden with assumptions, misrepresentations, and misleading statements of the law and facts.”
