BATON ROUGE, La. - A woman has filed suit against the manufacturer of Arava claiming that she sustained liver injuries as a result of using the rheumatoid arthritis drug. Carol Guidry and George Guidry v. Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., et al., No. 505055 (La. Dist. Ct., Parish of East Baton Rouge, 19th Dist.).
Plaintiff Carol Guidry also asserts claims against the pharmacists who filled her prescriptions for the drug, as well as the insurance companies that issued liability policies to Aventis Pharmaceuticals, the company that manufactures the arthritis drug.
