Md. Federal Judge Allows Local Counsel to Withdraw from Wright Hip Action

BALTIMORE — A Maryland federal judge has granted a local attorney’s motion to withdraw from a hip replacement action filed against Wright Medical Technology Inc., noting that the plaintiff had been given ample notice that he needed to obtain another attorney.

In an Oct. 16 order, Judge Deborah Chasanow of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland concluded that the plaintiff’s “concern over being able to secure alternate counsel does not justify requiring local counsel to remain in the case.”
